The Mike Roess Gold Head State Park is one of Florida's most diverse offerings of indigenous plant life presentations. Its unique combination of wet and dry soils yield an environment conducive to the existence of a wide variety of both plant and wild life.
While the lakes of this area are suffering the same consequences as most Floridian aquifer-fed bodies, there still exists canoeing, camping and swimming accommodations. Additionally, the nature trails and picnic areas provide countless memories to past, present and future generations.
